Appeals to the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims
When VA disability claims are denied by the Board of Veterans’ Appeals (Board), claimants have the right to appeal the Board’s decision to the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC).

In general, a Board decision must be appealed to the CAVC within 120 days. NVLSP appellate attorneys are experts in reviewing these decisions for error. If we believe the Board made one or more errors in its decision, we will offer you representation before the CAVC at no cost to you. If you have a Board decision that you would like NVLSP to review, please email that decision to CAVC.Intake@nvlsp.org or fax it to (202) 328-0063.
If you do not have a Board decision, but need help filing or appealing a claim, you can reach out to your local state service organization for assistance.
