WASHINGTON – Four notable women authors who have written about the Global War on Terror in Iraq and Afghanistan and its impact on women serving in the military and on the home front, will participate in a panel discussion organized by the National Veterans Legal Services Program (NVLSP) and moderated by Judy Woodruff. The event is open to press coverage.

About the Event:
Moderated by renowned journalist, Judy Woodruff, this panel discussion features four notable women authors who have written about women's experiences during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. The authors will discuss service in the military and on the home front by women, common themes in the experiences of women during these wars, and their varying perspectives. Attendees will be asked to support the work of NVLSP in advocating for veterans to receive disability benefits. Book sales will begin at 10:00am for the most recent titles by each author and sales will be provided by Politics and Prose.
