Statement on Presidential Proclamation to Pardon Service Members
Convicted under Uniform Code of Military Justice’s now repealed Article 125
“President Biden’s proclamation to pardon service members who were convicted under the Uniform Code of Military Justice’s now repealed Article 125 due to their sexual orientation is a great step forward. We support the effort to properly recognize the service of veterans and create a pathway through the Dept. of Defense and Dept. of Veterans Affairs for them to be granted the honor and recognition of their service to our nation and the benefits they have been wrongfully denied all these years,” said NVLSP Executive Director Paul Wright.
