Statement on 80th Anniversary of D-Day

Eighty years ago, on the 6th of June, 1944, the world witnessed an extraordinary display of heroism and sacrifice. Allied forces launched the largest land, sea, and air operation in history– D-Day.

As we mark the 80th anniversary of this pivotal moment, we pay tribute to the brave souls who faced unimaginable odds with unwavering resolve. Their actions altering the course of World War II and shaping the future of our world.

Today, we honor their courage, their sacrifice, and their unwavering commitment to liberty. It is through their selfless actions that we find inspiration to continue our mission of serving those who have served us.

On behalf of the National Veterans Legal Services Program, we commemorate this milestone and renew our pledge to honor their memory by advocating for those who have borne the cost of our freedom.
