Federal court lawsuit exposes Army’s illegal practices in reviewing applications for corrections of errors and injustices in military records
Morrison & Foerster and two veterans organizations, the National Veterans Legal Services Program (NVLSP) and Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA), have filed a class action suit on behalf of thousands of former soldiers whose service files contain errors or injustices, and whose applications were handled improperly by the U.S. Army’s Board for Correction of Military Records (ABCMR). Talk one-on-one with expert attorneys at American Legion Post in Cheverly on July 23, 7pm-9pm
Many veterans would benefit if they were able to talk to attorneys who have expertise in veterans law. Attorneys from NVLSP are holding a series of outreach events in the Washington, D.C. metro area to assist disabled veterans. The goal of these outreach events is to identify disability benefits to which the veteran may be entitled and to help the veteran get his or her claim started. The next NVLSP outreach event will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The event will be held at Cheverly American Legion Post 108 located at 3608 Legion Drive in Cheverly, Md. Nonprofit Participates in Online Fundraising Campaign Thru July 3, Could Win Additional $35,000
